Research and Academic Focus
His scientific and academic activities are focused on production engineering, quality system and material engineering. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Materials Science and the Faculty of Management at the Częstochowa University of Technology Poland, he completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Zilina, Slovakia. Currently employed at the Faculty of Management, at the Czestochowa University of Technology as Director of Institute of Production Engineering and Safety. Since 2012 he has been the Rector’s representative for ensuring the quality of education.
The area of his scientific work is focused on three important areas. The most significant one is the field of improvement of production systems, in which he has been working on since 2009. He is also involved in the field of quality control. He is the auditor of integrated management systems including the quality system. Professor Ulewicz also collaborates with the University of Zilina with the Chair of Materials Engineering in the area of testing the fatigue properties of fine grain steels in the ultra-high-cycle area. He is author or co-author of more than 200 works.
In 2010, he was a co-founder of the Quality and Production Managers Association of which he is currently the president. He is the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Production Engineering Archives. A member of many international organizations, including the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers. Awarded a bronze cross for merit for activities for science and civil society.
